Francesco Saggese, born in Naples, Italy has been a gem dealer of precious stones and a collector of fine jewelry for over 50 years. He first started in the business at the young age of 15 studying at Valenza Po. From there, he moved back to Naples then to Rome and landed in Paris in 1976. He finally made his way to New York in 1980 and founded American Trading Enterprises. Throughout his 50 years of being in the gem and jewelry industry, he’s traveled the world growing his knowledge and expertise on sapphires, emeralds, and rubies as well as antique jewelry. American Trading has now become a family business, with Francesco’s son, Eduardo, joining him in 2016.
