This antique emerald and diamond serpent necklace, crafted in the late 19th century, showcases a unique design that elegantly wraps around the neck. The piece features 52 larger old European-cut diamonds; (approximate total weight 52.25 carats) and 165 smaller old European and old mine-cut diamonds (approximate total weight 15.20 carats) set in silver-topped gold, with a striking rectangular step-cut emerald weighing approximately 3.50 carats at its center. The necklace's lifelike serpent motif is enhanced by cabochon ruby eyes and highly flexible scales adorned with old European and old mine-cut diamonds. Measuring 14 inches in length, this Victorian creation reflects the long-standing tradition of snake jewelry while offering a modern sense of naturalism. This necklace comes with an AGL report stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, with insignificant to minor oil treatment.
