Description
This Victorian diamond pendant/brooch, circa 1880, is set with a central cushion-shaped old mine cut diamond of approximately 1.35 carats. It is accented by twenty-eight cushion-shaped old mine cut diamonds totaling approximately 4.10 carats and forty-six round rose cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.75 carats, for an approximate total diamond weight of 6.20 carats. Crafted in tested silver and 18KT yellow gold, the design features ornate openwork with polished edges, granulation details, and fancy open backholing for added movement. A removable screw-fit brooch fitting and removable bale allow it to be worn as either a brooch or pendant; the pendant with bale measures approximately 6.00 cm in length and comes with a fitted box.
