Description
This Victorian-era brooch, circa 1860, is crafted in silver and 18kt rose gold with millegrain edging, stylised foliate motifs, and open backholing. At the centre is an octagonal old cut natural citrine weighing approximately 11.35 carats, framed by eight cushion-shaped old mine diamonds (approximately 0.35 carats total) and eight round rose cut diamonds (approximately 0.08 carats total). Four round natural pearls measuring approximately 3 x 3 mm complete the design, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.43 carats. The reverse is fitted with a secure hinge pin and scroll clasp; the brooch weighs approximately 5.90 grams.
