Description
This English Renaissance Revival gold plaque necklace from the 1870s is a vintage piece that features an oval-cut amethyst, basse-taille enamel, and natural seed pearls. The large amethyst, weighing approximately 9.50 carats, is framed by delicately shaded enamel shells and joins a necklace of enamel rosettes alternating with beaded infinity-form links. These are accented by natural seed pearls and old mine-cut diamonds totaling around 0.30 carat in weight. Crafted in England during the Victorian period using 15kt yellow gold, this elegant necklace measures at a length of 14.50” and width of 1.125”.
