Description
This vintage J. Milhening, Inc. ring from circa 1935 centers on an oval cabochon natural no-heat purple Ceylon star sapphire of approximately 10.50 carats, set in an open-back rubover setting. An asymmetric design adds five baguette-cut diamonds (approximately 0.20 carats total) and ten round old-cut diamonds (approximately 0.35 carats total), for a combined diamond weight of approximately 0.55 carats. Crafted in platinum marked with iridium, it features polished edges, engraved gallery detailing, open backholing, and raised split shoulders flowing into a solid D-shape shank. Ring size is US 4.75 and it is resizable; the piece weighs approximately 8.2 grams and includes a Gemmological Certification Services report.
