This French Belle Époque jewel from circa 1890 pairs a sapphire and diamond cluster ring with a matching openwork bangle in 18kt gold and silver. The ring features an unheated basaltic sapphire of approximately 2.20 carats surrounded by old-cut diamonds, with engraved detailing throughout the gallery and shoulders. The removable ring head can be secured at the center of the bangle via an intricate screw mechanism, and the bangle closes with a hinged clasp; its diameter is approximately 5.70 cm. Presented with a fitted box and tool, the ring is size 6¾ and can be adjusted to any size, with a total weight of 46.50 grams.
