Description
These vintage Art Deco drop earrings, circa 1925, are crafted in platinum and feature an articulated openwork oval design with millegrain edging and finely pierced galleries. Each earring is set with a cushion-shaped old cut natural no-heat Burmese sapphire in an open-back rubover setting, totaling approximately 2.80 carats for the pair. Old cut diamonds (six total, approximately 0.30 carats) and round eight cut diamonds (eighty-four total, approximately 1.68 carats) add detail throughout, for a combined approximate diamond weight of 1.98 carats. Measuring about 4 cm long, they are fitted with posts and butterfly backs for secure wear and are accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report.
