Description
This Theodore B. Starr choker necklace from the Belle Epoque era, circa 1910, is a delicate piece crafted with natural seed pearls and diamonds set in platinum. The design features a woven mesh of round cream seed pearls threaded onto platinum wire threads to create a soft fabric-like texture. It includes rectangular openwork diamond panels on the front, left and right sides with floral and foliate designs, millegrian edging on the platinum setting, and a back clasp formed by a bar set with diamonds. This versatile piece can be separated into two bracelets that can be worn stacked or individually. With its tactile flexibility allowing it to fit perfectly against the neck and move comfortably with the wearer, this vintage Edwardian item embodies luxury.
